ABOUT MY ART
I am a painter exploring the boundary between immateriality and presence in digital and traditional painting.
In doing so, I use the digital reproduction function of a scanner to make images. In a process of chance and regulation, photographs, photocopies, drawings, objects, various light sources and light incidence, irritations from dust and scratches are scanned, further processed on the computer, and made tangible in the surface texture of printing techniques. The abstract, semi-automatic image created from reflection and scanning by the laser beam gives rise to technical-looking color gradients and evoked scanning errors of a dissolving digital image surface.
